We build content that keeps paying you back in traffic and leads, years after it was published.
Start somethingContent agency
We plan, produce and distribute content as infrastructure — assets designed to keep earning search visibility, links and attention long after the week they went out, not a calendar you feed every Monday.
We’ll review what you’ve published, what’s actually earning traffic, and what’s quietly decaying.

Most company blogs are a cost centre nobody can defend, because every piece is treated as disposable — written once, posted once, forgotten within a fortnight, while the handful of articles that actually rank keep doing the work alone.
Our content services
Strategy starts by mapping the decisions your buyers are already trying to make, then deciding which of those decisions you can credibly own with a single, excellent piece rather than ten mediocre ones. We audit what you have published, what is quietly ranking and what is dead weight, then build a plan sized to what your team can actually sustain. Most plans we hand over are shorter than the one they replace, because depth earns more than volume in every category we have tested.
A plan small enough to actually finishWriters and designers with real subject knowledge produce every piece, briefed against the specific search intent and commercial goal it exists to serve, not a generic word-count target. Research happens before a word is written. Structure does most of the heavy lifting: descriptive headings, short paragraphs, a clear answer near the top, and supporting visuals that explain rather than decorate. Every draft is edited to remove the filler that makes most agency content a slog to read.
Written and designed to be usedMost content is a rewrite of something already on page one, which is why it rarely earns a link. We commission original surveys, proprietary data and genuine opinion from people inside your business, then package it so journalists, newsletters and other sites have a real reason to cite it. This is slower and more expensive per piece than a standard article, and it is usually the highest-leverage content any brand publishes, because links are the one ranking signal volume alone cannot buy.
Ideas that earn links nothing else willVideo, diagrams and data visualisations get a disproportionate share of attention for every hour they take to make, and most content plans skip them because they are harder to brief than an article. We scope and commission the format properly: explainer and case study video, original diagrams that make a complex idea skimmable, and interactive data pieces that give journalists and readers something worth embedding.
Video that gets commissioned on purposeAI answer engines summarise content rather than linking to it, which changes what good structure looks like: clear, self-contained answers, explicit entities, and schema markup that tells a machine exactly what a page is and who wrote it. We build every piece with that extraction in mind from the first draft, so your content is positioned to be cited by an AI overview as well as ranked by a traditional search result, instead of retrofitting it after traffic has already started slipping.
Built so AI engines can read it tooPublished content decays quietly: competitors publish something stronger, facts go stale, search intent shifts underneath a page that never changes. We track rankings and traffic for everything we produce and flag decay early, then refresh the piece rather than letting it slide off page one before anyone notices. A well-timed refresh is consistently cheaper than writing a replacement from zero, and it protects the compounding value the original piece already earned.
Protecting the traffic you already earnedWhat a content agency actually builds
As a content strategy agency, we treat content marketing as one discipline inside a wider content function, and it is usually the only one a business actually invests in. Strategy, production standards, distribution and the discipline of refreshing what already works tend to get skipped, which is exactly why so much content gets published and so little of it compounds.
We treat content the way an engineer treats infrastructure: built once, to a standard, with a maintenance plan attached. That means fewer pieces published with more intention behind each one, a structure built for how people actually skim and how AI engines actually extract, and a standing habit of returning to what already works instead of only chasing what is new.
The brands that get real, compounding value from content are rarely the ones publishing most often. They are the ones treating every piece as an asset with a job, an owner and a shelf life worth protecting.

Structured for readers and for AI extraction alike — a piece that keeps ranking, keeps getting cited, and keeps doing its job a year after launch.
Most running-cost guides repeat the same three manufacturer estimates. We surveyed 140 commercial sites directly and found the real variance was driven by one factor almost nobody mentions upfront.
The direct-answer summary below is what both readers and AI answer engines pull first — written to stand alone, cited correctly, and link back to the full data set.

Who it’s for
Frequency without a strategy behind it rarely compounds. We find the handful of topics worth owning properly and build a plan around those instead of a packed calendar.
Old winners decay quietly as competitors catch up. We build a refresh programme that keeps protecting the traffic those pieces already earned.
That takes a different structure, not just better writing. We build every piece to be extractable by AI engines from the first draft.
Good content needs research, structure and editing most in-house teams cannot sustain alongside everything else. We run it as a standing function, not a favour someone squeezes in.
Our process
Every stage ends in something you can check yourself: a plan, a published piece, a report that shows what it earned.
We review what you have already published, what is quietly earning traffic, and what is dead weight dragging down the rest of the site.
A prioritised plan built around the buying decisions your audience is already making, sized to what your team can actually sustain.
Each piece is researched, written or filmed, designed and structured for both human readers and AI extraction before it goes anywhere near publish.
Publishing is the start, not the finish. We support outreach, internal linking and promotion so new pieces get the visibility they were built to earn.
Performance is tracked against the plan, and anything decaying gets refreshed before it slides off page one, reported in plain English every month.

Distribution for every piece we produce, so launch week is not the only week it gets seen.
Nurture sequences built around the content your audience already trusts.
A site structure and template library that actually does justice to long-form content.
Dashboards tying content performance to pipeline, not just pageviews.
The bigger picture
AI answer engines now resolve a growing share of informational searches directly on the results page, without a single click reaching any website. That has not made content less valuable; it has made badly structured content worthless and well-structured content more valuable, because the pieces an AI engine chooses to cite are the ones winning the attention that used to be split across ten blue links.
At the same time, the cost of producing mediocre content has collapsed. Generic AI-written articles are now nearly free to produce and instantly recognisable, which means the competitive advantage has shifted entirely to original thinking, real subject expertise and the kind of research nobody else has bothered to commission. Volume alone no longer differentiates anyone.
Search engines have also become considerably better at detecting genuinely useful content versus content written to satisfy a keyword, which means the old trick of publishing slightly-better versions of what already ranks is a shrinking strategy. The brands pulling ahead are the ones building something a competitor cannot simply copy: original data, a distinct point of view, a format nobody else has bothered to build.
None of this requires publishing more often. It requires building fewer things properly, structuring them so both people and machines can use them, and maintaining them the way you would maintain any asset expected to keep paying you back for years rather than weeks.
Who you’re working with
Every content programme at wtfont. has one named lead who owns the plan end to end: they agree the editorial calendar, brief every writer and are the person you call when a priority shifts. No handoffs to a team you have never met.
Swap this block for the real person: their name, photo, years of editorial experience and a piece of work they are proud of. Showing who actually plans and edits the content is the easiest trust signal to add, for clients and for the readers judging your credibility before they trust what you have published.
Content guide
Straight answers to the questions every business asks before committing budget to a content programme.
Fewer than most calendars suggest. A tightly scoped plan of two or three excellent pieces a month, each built around a real buying decision, consistently outperforms a weekly volume target nobody can sustain to a decent standard.
New content typically needs three to six months to earn meaningful search visibility, though a well-distributed original research piece can generate attention and links within weeks. Judging a content programme after one month is judging it before it has had time to compound.
Often, yes, and it is usually the faster win. A page that already ranks on page two needs far less effort to push onto page one than a brand-new piece needs to earn any ranking at all from a standing start.
A single well-written article now and then can be handled in-house reasonably well. A genuine content programme, with research, structure, distribution and a refresh cycle running continuously, is usually more than most in-house teams can sustain alongside everything else on their plate.
FAQ
Strategy and editorial planning, writing and design production, thought leadership and original research, video and visual commissioning, AI-search structuring, and ongoing performance tracking and refreshes, reported monthly in plain English.
Most programmes run on a fixed monthly retainer scoped to volume and format complexity, separate from any paid promotion spend. You always know exactly what you are paying for.
Articles are the foundation, but we also commission video, original research, data visualisations and sales assets as standard, because the format with the least competition often earns the most attention.
We audit what you already have first. Pieces with genuine traffic or ranking potential get refreshed and protected; genuinely dead content gets retired or rebuilt. We rarely recommend starting completely from zero.
Yes. We structure every piece for extraction by AI answer engines as standard, including clear direct-answer blocks and schema markup, rather than treating it as a separate add-on service.
Both. Every piece comes with a distribution plan covering internal linking, outreach and social promotion, because publishing without a plan to get it seen wastes most of the value of the work.
A written monthly report as standard, plus a monthly strategy call. Anything time-sensitive, such as a ranking drop or a competitor move, gets flagged as soon as we see it.
No. Content work is monthly with no lock-in, because we would rather earn the next month's work than trap you in a year-long agreement.
Content marketing is the part of this that focuses specifically on search-led articles and editorial. This page covers the fuller discipline: strategy across formats, original research, video commissioning and the standing refresh programme that protects everything already published.
