Read the page as an outline.
Heading elements give a document structure beyond the size of the text. This HTML heading checker extracts H1 through H6 in source order and flags empty headings, missing main headings and level jumps for review. It is useful when a page builder has turned decorative text into headings or when a long page has been reorganised.
Put it to work.
A service page might use one main H1, H2 elements for services and process, and H3 elements for individual steps. If a section jumps from H2 to H5 because that style looked smaller, review the level separately from the visual typography. Change the design with CSS rather than choosing a heading level only for its size.
What to check next.
A pasted fragment may correctly start at H2 or omit the page H1. The output cannot know what was left out. Inspect the complete rendered page, interactive controls and reading order before making broader accessibility claims.
